Matthew and I were two singles living in Nashville. So we met the only way our generation knows...the internet! One lonely night in February, we both swiped on each other. We have talked every day since.
We would send each other paragraphs. I was smitten. Matthew asked me out (finally) and we went to the Nashville Farmers Market, where we sat and talked for two hours. Then proceeded to Von Elrods in Nashville, where we spent another two hours. He walked me to my car. Immediately after he was out of sight, I called my matron of honor, Anna. I said, well...I think I am going to marry him. We spent the next year falling in love. I have shown Matthew a lot of the south and we explored parts of Northern California.
On May 10th, 2025, Matthews' parents were set to meet mine. Never in a million years did I think that would be the day he proposed. We were at the same farmers market as our first date and as we walked across Bi-Centennial Park, Matthew proposed. He had also schemed with Anna and Lindsey, my sister in law, to throw a surprise engagement party.
We are looking forward to celebrating with you all at our wedding!
